The first days of the 2017 season of “The Apprentice” were not pretty.

Despite the ratings disaster, NBC Universal has made a profit of more than $1,700 million this year, which has more than tripled in the last decade.
In addition, it has a $2.4 billion investment in the entertainment sector.
On Wednesday, TheWrap reported that the $1bn investment has generated a $500 million return for the company and has created the largest media company in the country.
That’s because the deal with the “American Apprentice” is part of the $4.5 billion NBCU is investing in the future of its media businesses.

For example, NBC is getting a 10% stake in “The Blacklist” and a 25% stake for the new drama “The Handmaid’s Tale.”
NBCUniversal also has the right of first refusal in the upcoming “Gossip Girl.”
So what happens now?
While The Apprentice may have a major boost, it will not be the last “American” show that NBCUniversal will own.
After the deal was announced, The Hollywood Reporter noted that it will take a year for the network to acquire The Bachelor and The Bachelorettes, but that the company will get to buy the remaining shows.
It will also get a 20% stake with “Gotham.”
“Gothams” is a popular comedy show that is produced by NBC.
“The show has a great fan base and is seen as one of the most successful comedies in the business,” the publication said.
