Posted October 16, 2018 09:30:58We’re just a few weeks away from the new year, but many people in Shreveport, Louisiana, are still getting ready to leave.
They say they’re still struggling to keep people in the city.
Shreveport is just outside of Baton Rouge, and while it is the second-most populous city in Louisiana, it is also one of the poorest.
It is the poorest and most segregated in the country, with a large concentration of black residents and a history of poverty and violence.
Shreve-port has had trouble keeping people in for a long time.
“It’s been so much harder to stay in, especially for the younger generation.
People have seen their families move out.
People are afraid to leave the city, they are afraid of getting arrested.
They are scared of being the first person to be arrested,” Shreve Port resident Shabon Thomas said.
It has also become harder to keep a hotel open.
The Shreve Bay Casino is one of three hotels in Shrewsbury that is open 24 hours a day.
Even though Shreve has more casinos than any other area in the state, the Shreve County Tourism Development Authority says it has been struggling to attract new people to Shreve.
“Our casinos are struggling to be able to keep our hotel occupancy rate up,” Shrevetts Tourism Development Manager Lisa McKeown said.
McKeown says the hotel industry is struggling because of the number of people coming into the area to gamble.
We have to have a way to bring people into Shreve, which is a community where there are already a lot of residents,” McKepool said.
Some of the hotels in the area are only open for 24 hours, but the Shreves Hotel in the Village says it’s not even opening for business.”
We’ve had some really good business coming into Shreveday, but we’re just not able to sustain it,” Shavon Thomas, the owner of the hotel, said.
The Shrevers are hoping to open more hotels, but it may be a few more years before they’re able to make that happen.
