Las Vegas casinos are celebrating a doubling down.
The Double Down is going to be at the Mandalay Bay, the MGM, the Venetian and the Mandalays, MGM said.
Its expected to open in the fall.
Its a new Vegas, the company said, with all of the Vegas feel and the MGM feel, which includes a new concierge service and casino security, the first casino in the country to offer online-only dining.
The Double down has also been given the new name of “MGM Grand.”
The new MGM name will include the word “Grand,” MGM spokeswoman Lisa Fusco said in a statement.
We will be launching new, better services and will offer better value, including online dining, she said.
We are thrilled to be working with MGM to continue to grow our revenue in the United States.
We look forward to continuing to serve our guests at MGM Grand, and look forward for the future.
The announcement comes as the casinos’ board of directors and executives are expected to meet Tuesday to consider a proposal that would expand gambling in Las Vegas beyond the casinos and to expand gaming in other areas such as theme parks and hotels.
A number of casinos have already opened or are about to open.
The Wynn is expected to start operations in the spring.
The Grand has been a long-standing member of the MGM family since the company was founded in 1946.
The Las Vegas Sands Corp., which owns the Mandalos, is in talks with MGM and other developers to build the Wynn at the end of a $1.8 billion casino in Carson, California.
The company has also announced plans to open two other Las Vegas locations in the future, the Sands Las Vegas and Sands Las Olas.
