Clearwater Casino has been awarded the largest number of dollars ever awarded to a casino in the history of the U.S. by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
The casino in Las Vegas has a daily average of $12.8 million in gambling revenue.
That number is up from $9.4 million in 2013.
In 2017, the casino added an additional $8 million to its total gambling revenue, which makes it the biggest in the world for a casino.
Las Vegas Sands has a total of $2.9 billion in revenues and profits from the casino and its associated businesses, according to a statement from the company.
“With its massive and diverse portfolio of gambling operations, Clearwater has the potential to deliver substantial growth and to become a significant player in the casino industry,” the statement said.
According to the statement, the total value of the casino’s business, including its gaming operations, is $1.4 billion.
Clearwater Casino is located in Las Venegas near the ocean.
It opened in January 2018 and was the largest privately-held casino in Nevada.
Its opening was delayed by two years because of Hurricane Irma.
After Irma, Clearaway had to shut down for more than a month.
By October 2018, Clearway had been operating at less than $2 million a day, according the statement.
As a result, the Nevada State Gaming Control Commission awarded Clearwater with the largest gaming winnings in Nevada history, which are $10 million and $6 million, respectively.
